Waynetown -- April 18 -- Solomon LIVENGOOD 86 one of the most prominent citizens of Ft. Co died at his home 9 miles SW of here at 2:15 p.m. today after an illness of hardening of the arteries. He was a splendid citizen and a well-to-do-farmer. Mr. Livengood was born on Jan 1, 1834 in Davidson Co NC and was the son of Thomas & Eva Shuler Livengood. He married Elizabeth Day on Sept 16, 1850. He was a prominent member of the Lutheran Church. He moved to Jackson Twp in Ft. Co with his parents when 1 and lived all his life within a mile of where they located. Mr. Livengood is survived by his wife, 3 sons: VE; AT and Oro (sic) of Covington; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Booe of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Elbert McKee of Wallace; one sister, Mrs. Betsy Shobe of Kingman; one brother, TI of Waynetown; one half brother, Alfred Livengood of Wallace and one half sister, Mrs. Lon Ingersoll of Waynetown. The fun was held from the Wallace Lutheran church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday April 20 and was in charge of the Rev. Welke the Lutheran minister. Interment was made in Lutheran Cemetery nearby. - kbz
